Copper is made by using a  photographic process where the material is eaten away by a acidic process. The detail will be completely dependent on the quality of the artwork furnished. These dies are chemically etched so the fine line detail must be taken into account when creating the artwork, as the etching will be shallow in the thinner lines or finer detail may not etch, Copper embossing dies are therefore only considered to be one level. All copper embossing dies are etched for 80 lb paper stock unless told otherwise.
